Cowflyover – RICS Award Nominations
RICS is the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction. The “Cow Flyover” engineered by Millard Consulting and our friends over at Bell Ingram, was built for the 2016 Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh and has been nominated for an RICS Award.
The flyover, (which also goes by the names Livestock Crossing or Pedestrian Underpass), first reported on in the Scotsman back in 2016, is making the headlines once again on the web and in publications in the construction and the farming sectors.
Millard Directors Mark & Ken will be attending the award ceremony in Edinburgh on 26th April. Regardless of the result at the ceremony, the flyover was a huge success for the Royal Highland Show, helping to make the event safer for all who attended. It is sure to be a lovely event but of course, we are hoping that the Cow Flyover fairs well.
Win or lose, we will update you on the outcome. Until then have a look at RICS website below where you can read more about what RICS do and see the full list of nominees. Keep a lookout for the Pedestrian Underpass in the Infrastructure category.
