Biography
Magdalena studied Civil Engineering with Specialisation in Building and Engineering Constructions at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. Her further studies include a Postgraduate Diploma in Property and a Construction Management course at Napier University, Edinburgh.
Initially joining Millard Consulting in 2006 as an Assistant Structural Engineer for a period of four years, in November 2020 Magdalena re-joined the company in the role of Structural Engineer after working for Allen Gordon in Perth and Elders Consulting Engineers in Edinburgh and Dundee.
Magdalena is responsible for the designing and delivery of residential projects including extensions, change of use, and new developments. Specifically, preparing structural designs and details of residential properties for both new build and alterations/extensions to accompany Building Warrant applications. She has previously also been involved in commercial, educational, and health care projects: assistant designer of a new steel frame building for Perth College; assisting in the refurbishment and design to form new teaching accommodation for Darroch House in Edinburgh; and Designer of the timber frame building for Psychiatric Unit of Dykebar Hospital in Paisley.
