City Council Structural Surveys
Millard Consulting are currently involved in the survey of a large volume of Council owned housing stock across the Douglas area of Dundee. The commission from Dundee City Council has three elements including; visually surveying building facades; inspecting and testing concrete underfloor units and carrying out intrusive inspections of concrete framed non-traditional housing types.
The façade inspections are well underway at rate of 50 or more per day. These surveys consider the condition of such items as concrete lintels, cills, mullions and canopies. Typically the visual inspections are of multi storey terraced flats. We report on the defective elements and provide remedial work information, which allows the Council to plan for the coming years repair programme.
Prior to this project, over several years, we have completed a number of similar surveying projects on behalf of Dundee City Council. These have included concrete framed, traditional and non-traditional housing stock across Dundee. With our considerable experience gained in the surveying, testing and reporting on such structures we are happy to be providing a high level of service that is rewarded with repeat commissions. Furthermore it is a pleasure to help the Council deliver an efficient maintenance program for its housing stock.
