Environmental Engineer

Many civil and structural engineering projects are on brownfield land and fall under regulatory control for land and water quality. Our environmental engineers facilitate developments from feasibility to completion. By evaluating brownfield contamination issues at an early stage and using risk assessment to itemise and attend to relevant risks our clients efficiently manage brownfield costs. We follow a structured and consistent approach to risk assessment, which is key to demonstrating low risk as well as identifying unacceptable risk. We develop remediation strategies using measures specific to the needs of the development, designed to minimise costs. We also see remediation through to validation and prepare reports for statutory approval.

Hydrology Engineer

If a site is subject to flooding we can undertake full flood risk assessment and management services. We also offer hydrological resource evaluation and design services for the creation of water features and irrigation ponds.

Civil Engineer

We have all the skills in-house to service the civil engineering elements of development schemes. From the design of site infrastructure, including sustainable urban drainage systems, through to utilities, drainage and road construction for adoption. Our infrastructure engineers are involved from the outset of development projects, liaising with the local authority, Scottish Water and SEPA to develop roads and drainage strategies that will meet with approvals.  If traffic impact is an issue we can evaluate the situation and provide transport engineering design solutions as appropriate to facilitate an approved development scheme through the planning process.

Structural Engineer

Whether a steel portal frame industrial shed, a historic listed building, a multi-storey university building, flatted residential, detached house, new build or extension we have the structural engineers and design capability to match the task. We also have two SER certified engineers to approve all structural designs for building warrant.

We also provide expert witness services for public enquiries, planning appeals, litigation and hearings.
